Some pics from todays North Weald activity day
Discussion
Been back for a few hours sorting through some of the pics I've taken from todays actovity day. I let Christine do the morning session while I took photo's and in the afternoon we shared the car on the circuits.
There was a real mix of cars which made for interesting viewing and as ever a good bunch of people all enjoying themselves. And believe it or not, after a damp and dreary morning I think there will be quite a few of us with rather red foreheads
:tsk
Here's Bigbird (seloc) on the fast bend...

..and here on the bottom circuit..

Naughty Magpie (Hannah) pushing the cobra alittle too much

..and her other half in his 205 keeping his foot in despite a quite epic spin :lol

A few randoms..
a vx lifting a wheel

..and later losing it..

Bullface from seloc overdoing it

His friend in a 325 also had probably some of the longest spins of the day, I think from start to finish he must have covered 100m :lol
Sun from Seloc also pushing too much, his other half apparently enjoyed spinning and going backwards, so he seemed only to happy to oblige

And finally the brick. It behaved brilliantly all day and was really fun to drive and was fairly easy to control when pushed beyond the limit. The only downside was that the wife equalled my best time having probably only driven it half a dozen times since we've had it:cry I am captain hamfists:wall:wall
Here's madam showing how it should be done..

And here is me trying to find the quickest way out after having my arse handed to me..

Cheers to all involved :up it was a great day:beer

Wow, Scott'll be impressed at the pic of me - you've caught me smiling. Ace picture! Don't suppose you have any more of me/us?
Great to meet you & Christine & the latter half of the day was by far the best - especially the car swapping. I think I learnt a bit more about my car & we've already booked ourselves on the next 2 activity days in October.
Your VX was truly gorgeous & what amazing handling, grips so well. Mine just wants to over or understeer into things. I was so pleased to improve my time round the handling course by 4 seconds & I reckon once the front suspension & geo is sorted out, I can get it down even further. The little group of us at the tighter handling circuit had a lot of fun & I don't know why there weren't more down there with us? The lady timing us was brilliant fun too.
The morning high speed corner didn't go too well, I was being told to trail-brake which did nothing for the Cobra, I just went through the corner slower. Later attempts at just rocketing through were far more "productive".
The drive home was eye-opening too - looked down to see that I was travelling a fair bit quicker than on the journey down & wasn't worried at all about crashing & dying in a V8 fireball (a common worry

Glad to see you were copying me with your VX wipers towards the end of the day!
