Hi Guys,

My new Cerbera seems to have a canny taste for starter motors! Lookin back through the files it appears to have had two new ones in the past 9 Months. The last one only being around 2 Months ago. Unforunatly for me i've only driven the car 4 times and guess what? Its ate another! frown

Does anyone out there have a new spare starter for the AJP engines that'll they'd like to sell? Or could anyone recommend a good automotive shop in the Morayshire area where i could take my chewed up one as is only 2 months old?

Any help would be most appriciated

Craig.

I think its eating them purely down to the silly location in the engine bay and basically no air flow, meaning the poor starters get cooked.

On a positive note though, they all seem to have 12 months warrenty and i've got an old reciept. So looks like i'll be getting a replacement sent out smile

Cheers Kojak. Is the nissan one rated at 1.6KW? Some other members have commented that this one could be under-rated.

I'm getting another one through its 12 month warrenty anyway from Penisula TVR. But useful info for the future.
