I'm thinking of buying one but I'm not sure how the rear-facing detector would work with such a small rear window.

Thanks,

I've been using a V1 for several years... excellent. It now lives in the Esprit and the rear sensing is also excellent. With some of the stationary radar boxes (which show your speed) down here I pick up signal 2+ miles away... and with moving troopers also.

The problem I see is that in many cases I have to be within 50 feet or so before the box gets a solid lock, hence you may wind up get flagged for someone else's speed. My other (metal) car get can generate a lock upwards of a 1/4 mile away in some cases.

Check out:

I've been using it for a couple of years. Good system, but doesn't pick up the pressure cameras, which they've just started putting up around my area.

The system i use is a Road Angel coupled with a LRC laser diffuser, this covers most bases in the UK anyway.

I have a K40 unit mounted in the radio pod just above the stereo with pick up elements under the front and rear bumpers. The range is very good and I can usually tell if they are hwy troopers or city police because they use different types of radar and the detectors makes a different alert tone. Also if they are closing or moving away.
