My friend picked up his 1098S-T today and so we had to go out for a quick 212 mile blat around the depths of Cambridgeshire. The bike is just utter, utter porn.

Stunning bike yes

But, and its a big but.... there is no need for the matching Ducati Leathers nono

Its just like owning a Ferrari & being dressed head to toes in Red Ferrari gear.

Very Nice biggrin Where did he pick it up from? I picked up my new gixer today and seem to recognize the number plate, mine starts AE07 , just wondered if it was the same place.

very good reply. I have always liked ( cars or bike) to have something different whcih is not seen much around. main reason behind looking for a Triplpe or Superduke.

and both got to be more of a riders bike then my 600 Fazer, Which is also great fun for a newbie

On the plus side, the new owner does assure me he has a rather large cock.

Masterbike times would indicate that there is practically nowt in it on a circuit, but then to be honest there not that much between a Triumph 675 and a 1000cc bike on a track anyway.

I think all the people who bought the 1098 are going to be a bit peeved when the 1188R comes out to steal their thunder.

I think it would depend on the circuit, the suspension on the Ducati is very good, sure there is an element of exclusivity with the Ducati but I think that has been eroded lately, The R model Ducati's are probably better than a standard jap 4 but an ohlins shock, a fork cartridge kit and some light wheels wipes out the advantage, though how many people will ride one near it's limit on the road to justify the extra outlay ?. People can buy what they want but like I said I'm interested in how it goes not showing how much I've spent.
