300 bhp bounce Oh I do so wish that was mine ! But I'm afraid not, unless someone borrowed it without me knowing .... TVR factory quoted 275bhp for these but from what I've read thats probably "optimistic" to put it mildly... whistle

I wonder if that is one of the very last 390s seeing that it has a 400 dashboard?scratchchin What is the engine number, if you don't mind me asking? Mine is also an '88, registered in the August, but has the 350 dashboard.

Looks more like the SEAC dash as it only has the 4 clocks across the top and it doesn't kick out to face the driver. scratchchin

& it's a little bit narrower than the centre console

Was just thinking the same, the panel is not angled like a 400 and the heater controls are above the stereo as opposed to below on a 400.

Paul you have mail....thumbup

well spotted.

not sure why its a two pice carbon, also he says carbon look, I would have thought if you was going to all that trouble you would use real carbon.

I have and it not that much more expensive. the time taken is the most expensive part.

I thought the 390 (later) has 4 clocks.. the SEAC also has 4 clocks (generally) as it's based on the 390 ..

I'm tempted my self, esp at that price. are you bring it to BBWF.

But I think my next project is going to be a SEAC-SX, as there is not one.

Oops, apologies about the non 400 like position of the heater controls and the 4th dial. In my defence the Ad does say "virtually" indistiguishable to a 400SE. Forgot about you boyz and your fountains of knowledge ! paperbag

As for the comment about the carbonfibre "not sure why its a two piece carbon, also he says carbon look, I would have thought if you was going to all that trouble you would use real carbon."

The ad actually says "carbon fibre finish", not "look" and I can assure everyone it is real carbonfibre. My mate works as a composites engineer for a F1 team so it was definitely done properly with the right stuff and yes it took him ages smile

And yes I do intend to take to BBWF for its 3rd trip.
