Changing the gas cable

Tonight took my throttle cable to bits and now in a position to pull it throught the bulkhead.
Do i just pull it through or do i tape the new one to the old one then pull it through.
Any help from anyone who have replaced this i would be gratefull.

hi when i changed mine i just pulled the old one out and pushed the old one through no real nightmare but safer to tape new to old

Received new one in the post today.
BOY What a difference very smooth no notchiness.
Can't wait to fit it.
