When my car was in the body shop having a few bits done, a father and son builder saw the car and asked the painter to fire it up for them. they fell in love and asked if i would take 22 clap for her! TBH what would i replace it with?? A decent porky Turbo ( which i have a soft spot for) is twice the money and the same power!

A fairly normal Cerby should be on par or faster than most Porky Turbos (straight line at least) unless they have been really played with, yours I think would need a bit of a monster to even compare, maybe a Ruf or something and then you are into serious dough. Besides you'd be bored by the 4wd and civility I am sure biggrin

How much did the conversion cost?? If it was around 10k, possibly a little more - then the mod has increased the resale by the same amount?! - could be a nice way of justifying it to the other half eh? winkhehe

Yeah! Should be easier this time? or was the labour costs package priced as a development deal? which would mean it wont be cheaper next time scratchchin

If he is a builder, give him a taste of his own medicine by agreeing a price, then making him wait for months before upping the price by a few grand.....

nice to see someone loves your idea! always been against tuning myself, guess I just like things out the packet. However the time, work, skill and coin put in to these Cerbs is very impressive. And the stories on these forums are often entertaining reading.

Tell me though, what is the motivation to do it? What is the goal, fastest cerb? Sell it on? Seeing what can be done? Just trying to understand why it is such a big deal for many cerb owners - who may or not be competing against each other.

22k was their opening offer.

If they're that interested in it then I'd say there's more money available if you want it.

But do you want to sell it ....... ?

I wouldn't sell it. My feeling is its difficult to put a price on the hard work put in, and you at least want to enjoy it for a while.

I would'nt want to do it to the same car again, the challenge has gone from that, it would have to be something else, Saggy would be nice but too much money at the moment. As for motivation why not? I wanted something rear wheel drive that looks the part, for sensible money, ( i had the engine before the car!), what else fits the bill, at the time it was a tidy Cerb with a blown motor, what else under £10k looks as good as these cars? every time i go out in her someone sticks their thumbs up, or "nice car mate". Supercar looks 500bhp, good value i reckon! smile

Holy smoke..!! That's some killer curves. I wonder if there's any scope for moving that torque hump further up the rev range a little in an effort at generating even more power. What does the LS respond to in terms of induction tuning?

That said, the induction you've put together for this looks very neat and pretty. Would be a shame to mess with it.

Upped the ratio on the rockers from 1:7 to 1:85 since that graph and it revs LOADS more, i reckon over the 500bhp mark now. It REALLY made a differance, if you do the sums its a sh@t more valve opening as well as duration.
