porsche assistance question.

quick question..

has anyone ever managed to get their car delivered to an OPC of their choice rather then the closest one..?? the booklet says it has to be the closest OPC.

sorry bit a hijack - does porsche assist come with all porsche's whether UK supplied or not? - i.e. a UK spec 997?

Does that mean they let you send it where you want? I requested that my 997 went back to Silverstone, even though I live in London and I'm surrounded OPCs (none of whom I trust that much). Anyway, they said fine and off my car went, 70 miles up the M1.

sorry, porsche assistance have agreed to take my car (with a leaking front rad) from my home in kent to cambrdige (where i bought the car) rather then use my local not so friendly opc.

very helpful and understanding. In my defence i was very helpfull in when i wanted it collected (i.e. no rush) and that i would pick the car up.

all in all very impressed. if i can now get the rad sorted under warranty i'll be over the moon.

Have they given you a replacement car? I got an automatic 5 series diesel and actually quite liked it. But then I got mine back and came round to my senses.

They have delivered to the OPC of my choice, and paid for taxi from Bedford to London for me.

I also had them deliver the car to an independent once.

don't need a replacement car so did not push the issue. i'm more concerned over warranty or me having to pay for the rad to be repaired. got a sneeky feeling that i'm gonna have to pay for this one.
