I'm not too sure about the face paint.......it's certainly different, but this would make a nice competitor to the Vauxhall VXR8. Which won't happen 'cos Ford won't sell it here, despite already being RHD.

And there are rumours the next Mustang and Interceptor concept could be based off this car.

The die has been cast.
Ford will be lucky to make it to the end of the century.

Slack engines are their main problem as well as lack of aftermarket support.

At least they got the styling right for the States, they like bland looking cars.
The VXR8 is a much better looking car overall. What’s going on with the Panda eyes?

Yeah, I thought I might get chased outta town for posting about a Ford hehe

Whilst I can't speak for the Falcon, I know the Mustang has a HUGE aftermarket world looking after it. I do agree though, that Ford needs a bit more poke in the engine compartment. Where are the good old fivepointos, 427s etc etc?

What do you think, 308mate? wink

At the risk of getting severely flamed, I have to say I quite like it....

It's looks almost identical to a VXR8, but slightly better looking, in my opinion. The rear lights are the right size compared to the lights on the VXR8 which are too small. I'm not a fan of either to be honest, Monaro coupe looks way better.

The VXR8 must have had a really really serious beating then

I saw a rusty red colour VESS V8 in Dubia recently and have to sya as rather impressed wwith it much better in the flesh. It had different tail lights that looked bigger than VXR8 although more simple. What I was really impressed with was the Caprice now that looked really smart....

I think the whole car looks better without the rear spoiler.

As for the Ford well not too bad no worse than VXR8 IMHO..

It would be too confusing if Ford sold the Falcon V8 in England, it is called a Falcon XR8...

In good old for tradition, they probably come with a life membership to RAC or AA.
You could probably look on the www.ford.com.au site.

You're right - I could, but that would be just plain boring

Looks cool. It's amazingly similar to the Commodore really. Same shut lines, slightly higher but similar swage line, just different front and rear end treatment. It's no worse than the R8/GTS which has the frankly odd fog-lights.

I'm not anti Ford at all and don't understand the sentiment. They make some great cars! I couldn't comment on their Aussie offerings being any good though.
