Yeah it was a biggie. It was pretty much all required now. I could perhaps have left the wheel bearings, but then I might have had something nasty happen at speed on the motorway. Perhaps I could have let the rear UJs go for a bit longer, but then the driveshafts might have needed more atention when I came to do it.; As it was, all they needed was the yoke.
All in all, better to do it now, I figured.
As for the squeak, it seems to have vanished. Richard was on the phone to me first thing, and if it does come back, I'm sure he'll sort it. As I said in my other thread, I really would recommend RT, and wouldn't want the mysterious squeak to cast aspersions.

I could have done enerything myself, and saved about 600 quids worth of labour...except that it's my only car, and I couldn't do as quick as a professional - like I'd need a month of weekends to do the wheel bearings. And if I suddenly got busy, that could easily run to several months. (I have very busy weekends.)
