Silverstone GP - The Crazy and Lucky show!
Discussion
Hello all,
Yep, got through today with no issues. Car, engine, tyres, sweet as.
Met Crazy of Cookham (Brian) up there in the wee hours and had 8 half hours stints in a variety of conditions from this:

to this:

and sometimes a bit of this:

Great to feel the car set up the same, behave diffently in different conditions. Kumhos have great grip in the just wet, and of course dry, but standing water on Hanger was interesting at 120mph!!
Nice to have a fellow Ultima chap there to bounce ideas off.
Thanks to Gavin Dunn (Charles' son)for organising it for us.

Well it was not me. However I think I was the fastest across the grass and perhaps the most sideways. Great thanks to Gav and family for support and Pete for advice on set up etc. We all got away unscaved in some interesting conditions. Look forward to some of the video shots from Peter.

Back on track chaps....;
I've just uploaded the longest clip ever. 16 minutes. Had to pop it into low res, but at least it still shows us blowing off the Pork, the Prancers, and remember dem Lotus fings? Damn they are lethal in the wet - two of them spun gently in front of me....but that's another clip!
I still can't believe how progressive the oversteer is and how easy it is to correct. Chaps were are gonna have to keep that bit quiet if we are gonna defend our point and squirt title!!
Let you know when it's live.

Thanks Pete enjoyed that great video. Just makes me want to go back. So next time I can now watch your video for hours prior to going on track.
I'll do a little compilation of the wetter bits, the slips, the passes and familiar faces when I get a chance. Might see a few Lotar5es fying off the track and defo the overtaking of an Enzo!Laters

Hi sorry to be a bore but the old memory is going, could you send me details of the camera web link. Thanks
www.motorsportcameras.comWhat you saw in my car was track pack 3.
What do you think of the footage angle? The rez was far better, but 18 mins came out at 300MB!! so i had to scale it down for PHTV. Not 100% sure on the sound quality - would one of those foam things on the mic reduce the high end noise?

My only thought there is that the camera is a little to far back in the car and is trying to set its light level to the interior of the car so the screen at times is over exposed.Try further forwards or better still mounted on the roof or in the front clip.
