That is all a bit worrying. Has this fuel problem happened on any other Sags? It will be interesting to hear what the actual cause of the fault was!

Scary stuff - glad you are OK.

Very interested to hear what happened / caused it all - haven't heard of anything like that before.

or if it did burst. maybe just gravity, not sure what side the pump is on, if you get my meaning

Just had a problem with my Saggy not starting. Was down to a broken wire on the "in Tank" fuel pump, whilst it was in they replaced the fuel hose as it was cracked and nearly split!!!

Just had same problem with not starting again, this time it was the fuel pump stuck, gave it a bang and it's ok again. Guess how much for a fuel pump, only available from TVR, not even Bosch will sell you one direct? £183.00, arrrgghhhhh

Sounds like it could be worth a visual inspection of the fuel hose. I might also fit a fire ext. in the car too just so I have some form of defense should I ever be unlucky enough to have a similar problem. I'd say £183 is about what I'd expect for a fuel pump on a specialist car. The worrying thing is that these problems occured on a car that is only two years old and suprising considering the levels of testing and quality control were reputably much higher than previously. It makes you wonder that if the factory still existed there may be a case for a recall to check.

After picking one up for the European runs I have kept it in the Sagaris ever since - tucks in neatly in the fold beneath the boot cover - but can be reached from the side of the cover if in a hurry.

Nowhere else to put it really!!

Look on the bright side - at least it happened while you are still under the DM warranty and not at the furthest point of your 3000 mile road trip!!! With regard to the fire ex, the only other place cars tend to mount them is infront of the passenger seat but not sure how this would work on the Sag. I don't have a cd changer so I'll be fitting mine under the luggage screen.

I had the same thing happen too me a few months back -Racing Green had to replace the Fuel pipe...they said it's a common problem and they have made their own replacement pipe's as they don't trust the TVR one's incase it happen's again. The Beast has been fine ever since... Hope your Sag recovers soon.Cheers
