Make sure your heatshield is fitted!

Car wouldn't turn over the other morning, and established battery was dead. So i changed it. Then i found out why my battery was dead

Then found the loom issue and realised the last specialist to have my car had not refitted the heat shield.

No more to be said right now as i am awaiting outcome with company concerned.

Peter, that is not good. I would be very upset if that happened to my car...hang on it did....
My battery looked just like that after my gearbox was replaced and they forgot to heat wrap the exhaust, or cover the battery in reflective foil.

I would expect them to hold their hands up and replace the loom and battery, also to collect the car from you and return it fixed and in the condition it was before they got their hands on it!!

Had exacly the same thing happen to me a couple of years back.
As a result I had the ECU/fuses and the battery moved to the cabin. Have'nt had an electrical issue since.

Thanks guys. I hope so too. Been nearly a month since i wrote my letter of complaint, but when i called yesterday, apparantly it hadn't been received

Not a micky-mouse outfit by any means, and well known amongst PHers so i'll give them the benefit of doubt.
