Been keeping an eye on VXR prices. Looks like they're holding quite firmly.

Your thoughts?

Will drop over time for sure. Depends on your timeframe. Over the short term (3 months) they are probably fairly static.

No new ones and the cars are becoming popular.

I think that they could well stabalise, especially with the odd one or two being scrapped.

Great car and nothing like it for the money. VXR8 is a radically different car and being £35k it isnt affecting even the latest 6L VXR's priced in the mid 20's.

Not aimed at anyone. Just we are seeing the odd car get written off and with the original supply being fairly limited (as with any car really) ones that are crashed or even stolen and crashed will reduce supply of second had cars available.

.. but in a few years will you want an old rusty, creaky, worn out car or a new shinny faster one?

I suspect I would take a 250GTO Ferrari, DB6 Aston, Stringray Corvette, 300SL Gullwing, D Type Jaguar over any of their modern equivalents.

Cars are suprisingly durable these days.

Until the VXR8 drops 10k, or starts coming in a sleeker coupe format I think the VXR Monaro will hold up well.

There is simply nothing else close to it for the current money.... rx8 or 320ci bmw anybody?
