Anybody tried paint protection film?
Which make, how much, how hard to apply? It's for a speed triple.

Cheers.

Right, sorry about that. My mate has it on his R6. Hardly notice it's there and it keeps things spotless. I'm gonna get mine covered in the stuff as soon as time/funds permit! Not sure of the cost, but mail me if you need the guys name and number.

Cheers.

I should check it out with the bloke first. But will phone him first thing. Can't see it being a problem, but should just make sure.

I used VentureShield on my K7, got it from www.rhinoprotect.co.uk. They actually add to the original kit based on feedback from their customers it seems - e.g. they have added pieces to cover the rear fairing on mine.

I would say it's fairly difficult to apply but can be done if you take your time and follow the instructions. Change the solution regularly if doing it outside, crap seems to get in it way too easily!

Chilli - they give a 15% discount for gixerjunkies members, in fact all you need to do is order from a particular link on their page, and presumably for a GSX-R too...

For anyone interested, here's a pic of the GSX-R with the kit fitted, the only bit you can really see is on the lower fairing because of the angle.

I can't actually see the pic cos I'm at work and it's blocked, but I pulled it from a post on another forum so fingers crossed!

Cheers! Hope the picture is the one I think it is then! biggrin

It's probably the best pic I've taken of it, was just a fluke that the angle/light is like that tbh...

I've got a ventureshield set on it's way, I ordered it before any mention of discount was made. Doh!

I have used paint protection film (not Venture Shield, but same kind of thing) on my bikes; it is excellent and very hard to spot if fitted correctly. It really does stop stone chips, scratches, etc. and keeps the bike looking really good.

Mine's been treated to the complete ventureshield kit. Front end, headlight, front mudguard, tank, seat unit. It's great stuff and has certainly saved the occasional stone chip etc..

Spot the piece covering the side of the tank.....

You can see the ventureshield clearly in this pic.....
