Don't know about the fan, but I'd guess at around 85-90 degrees.

As for the fuel consumption - it sounds about right.

Hi dotdog,

My EVO1 has a two stage/speed fan and I think the 16v has the sane system. First speed should kick in around 87 and cut-off at 82 degrees and then stage 2 kicks in around 92 degrees. Assume your new to these cars but running hot is 'normal' you only have to look under the bonnet to see why! My car has a manual fan overide switch fitted for those hot days stuck in traffic.

Jamie.

p.s. enjoy these awesome cars!

Hi mate. Mine always seems hot. Fan kicks in early - always reassuring.

Also drinks like an absolute ****. Convinced it's the wing on the back. Got a pic of yours?

Second stage is the only stage you'll hear from the driver's seat - mine kicks in right on 90 (Evo 2). Full tank of petrol can last up to 400kms… but I have also run out before after only 187kms (don’t ask)…

ta guys, cutting in at 95 so maybe a bit high, no pics but it's still on the classifieds - the red one that showing as sold (£5650) - been well tended, and keith at auto integrale knows it well which is reassuring - interesting to drive, although you need to keep it on boost to make progress, love the fact that you just accelerate when you get to a roundabout, lovely leather interior and it's got all its bits - the previous owner spent a lot of time getting it totally original.
off to keith prices rally school on fri with it which should be fun - some great roads in that area.
