Just wondered if anyone has upgraded their Race Logic TC box, last time I enquired it was only a £75 charge for swapping the control unit – this I think really only applies to the units fitted to the imported models from 2000?

Never had it done as mine is off most/all of the time. What does the upgrade give you?

If it is just a £75 pgrade for the "switchable " box then I am Interested (GTS-R). Thought there was more to it than that though.

Well not having employed TC for years I thought it would be interesting to upgrade to plant it in the rain as current moisture levels seem set to stay, from what I know you have several programable settings as opposed to the existing on/off program and if I am honest I would like to mimic F1 type sounds in the wet & maybe make some interesting noises in Hampshires 20 MPH zones...

I do recall when i got my GTS there was a five setting racelogic alternative which I thought was only going to be fitted to the GTS-R's but not to the GTS. I guess that would be a relatively simple control box upgrade. Mind you it is good fun in the wet with it turned off :-)

i enquired about it when i had the charger fitted - was told a waste of time as the power over rides the lower settings anyhow - may be worth it on a n/a one - the power does overwhelm it and thats the highest setting for the switchable that the on off system uses

I thought Pomona had the swithcable upgrade on his car and was very happy with the results. As I remember he could acclerate flat out in the wet in his supercharged beast and go in a streight line.

That is exactly why I wanted more info as I remember Brian's comment, thanks Duncan
