7 series i drive

hiya everone,
i,ve been thinking getting a 730d, 02, 03,
and i,m getting info that they get problems with the i drive, can anyone shine any light on this,
has anyone had this problem.
dont want to fork out for expensive repairs,

Working at a main dealer, to be honest, we dont get many complains about the i-drive. The only trouble we do get is when people dont know how to use the thing, because salesmen cant be bothered showing them! There have been a couple of software glitches, but not many. Airbag lights are a favourite sometimes.

There is so much computing power on these things, its scary!

Once you do get you head around the i-drive, its great!

Yeah got to agree with the above, I-drive in general is very reliable, especially in the E65. And again as above only problems are people who don't know how to use it.
Not helped by idiots like Clarkson etc, who seen to think that they should be able to be able to master anything first go - and if they can't then it's rubbish.
Most common saying in dealers? = RTFH - Read The F*****g Handbook!
