Positioning door window glass
Discussion
My door seals seem OK but the windows are being pushed out of the rubber groove at speed. Here is my plan. Take off the door lining. Close the door, loosen the glass grip bolts and, using two cheap dent pullers, move the glass about intil my wife (on the outside) sees the glass is tight in the lip all the way round. Then tighten the bolts.
Is this how other poeple do it or am I mssing something.
I've already tried adjusting the window lift stop bolt but this just adjusts the overall height of the glass, not its front-to-back or angular position.

I don't think you need bother the wife - slacken the two bolts on the glass grippers and tap it a few mill in the direction you think it needs to go. The marks on the glass from where it was clamped will help you judge this, nip the bolts up and try the fit, do it a couple of times until the glass pushes up snug into the rubber. The door probably won't open without help while the door card is off either.
Hope this helps
Oh and while your in there pull out the connector blocks in the bottom of the door and give them a clean and WD40ing it'll pay dividends in the future.
