Megane RS 225 Whistle

Matey boy in the chair next to me has a whistle. Faint though it is, it's concerning him, as it seems Turbo related, at 2000 Rpm with foot to floor it does whistle.
I thought it might be an air leak, but having heard it I'd say there was a very slight out of balance from the Turbo. (When I say slight, I used to work at Garrett and I'd say it was within acceptable limits) Given that the car has done 54K has anyone else had this sort of noise ?
