Hi!

I have a Rosso Red 1985 Ferrari Mondial QV and it's about time I attended to the annoying stone chips on the bonnet. I thought I'd give Halfords a try, so went armed with my chassis colour code. Computer said "no" for F108 under Ferrari, so I suggested they try under Fiat, at which point a couple of reds came up, one was something like F108/96... is this right, or does anyone know what the correct match should be?

Thanks!

Best bet is to go to your local paint shop and ask if they will make you up a small touch up bottle mine will do this from the paint code no problem.

I think F108 is the model designation not the paint code, it should be Glasurit 300/6

Ok I found the real paint code, it was on a plate in the boot (doh!). It's Rosso Corsa FER 300/6 (thanks F355 GTS). The best match (imo) from Halfords was 300/L (the one they had being 300/12), so I've got some of that. Final stupid question: should I be using red or white primer? Or is there not much difference... these are pretty small stone chips (tho there are several small and one big one right down to the metal).

Thanks again in advance!

from memory the original primer was white, I don;t normally bother with stone chips, just use the Red however for the one back to the metal it might be prudent to apply some primer

Thanks, yes the original primer on the car is white. I'll use the red paint over that if it's not gone through to the metal. Just the chap in Halfords said for the deeper chips I'd need red primer not white?!

Then again when I gave him the paint code he said "so this is for a Vauxhall Corsa right?" ummm something tells me I should prob ignore everything he said... rolleyes
