'98 VW Golf Cabrio Roof Tear

Hi all,
Unfortunately when my missus took her car to the local supermarket, some little sod decided they were bored and put a knife through the roof - I would like to say they were looking to nick the car (so the cut had some purpose) but it was down where the hood joins the rear wing. So all I can assume is it was some pikey with nothing better to do that p*ss me off!!
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement hood (new or second hand) and approx cost - or alternatively someone handy with a needle and thread to repair it? (I live in north west kent)
