Wotcha all...

Decided to change my coolant manifolds for SS ACT pipes and silicon hoses.

turning into bitch of a job .. (new A/C rad .. had to have oil cooler welded etc etc)

have connected everything back up with exception of smaller hoses to the metal pipes running
to the expansion tank.

there are 2 coolant manifolds my question is on the one that goes left to right (connecting the
water rails ) (the one with the sensors on ) where does the small rubber pipe go to the nearest solid pipe running to the expansion tank or the further away one - I think it goes to the nearer one but that seems to be at quite a tight angle?

Dont suppose this makes much sense - if anyone has any piccys of this area - or know that would be great - I took piccys but cant make it out!

Hey ho ... Thanks DAS

From memory it goes to the one fixed to the bottom of the expansion tank. On mine this was the nearest the front one. However I believe that there were a few different configurations on them. I know this doesn't help. Can you see the pipe all the way to trace it? If not I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can get a piccie for you.

cheers craig ... trouble is i pulled it apart last week busy since and the photos I took dont show that bit ... was sure it was connected to the front one as you say but that seems to kink the hose...

will ring ACT tmrw (mines a 4.2 by the way dont know if it makes a difference?)

Sod of a job - every old jubilee clip was screwed - rad monting broke and wouldnt budge etc etc

all a laugh!

I remember cutting mine to make it shorter and not kink and I also cut the other one just because it was about 12" too long.

Mine are cut and it's attached to the front one. But now that every thing is all back in place I cant see where it leads to but Im 99% sure its to the bottom of the tank.

Cheers.
