shout New owner alert. Just for you. When I go round a left hand bend my oil pressure gauge drops to zero and my battery light comes on, as soon as I am on the straight the oil pressure jumps back up and the battery light goes out, what do you think may be the cause of this?

Many Thanks

Marian

Oil pressure drop on left turn is oil sloshing around but indicates it is way too low (yes I have had it twice paperbag) recheck your oil carefully and get it topped up and try to keep it on the max level (or slightly above) The battery light is probably in fact your oil pressure light coming on I would think - not ideal with these engines, oil starvation for even a short time can be catastrophic.

I just put a litre of Mobil 1 0w-40 in as this was the best I could find so late in the evening.
