Hi,

I'm just getting a front-end respray on my Chim and was thinking that it'll probably be a good idea to get it protected somehow. Having a quick search on the forums, Armourfend and Paintshield seem to be the two that get recommended but was wondering how they look on the car and which one was best?

Also, whats the likely cost for it (including fitting as I've learnt from previous mistakes and leave bodywork stuff to professionals after my previous bodge-jobs...) and who are the best people to do it (I live in southeast london).

Cheers!

I went to look at a car that had been amrourfend and to be honest it looked pretty naff. I don't know if it was done from new or not but it was a few years old and all the leading edges of it were as obvious as hell and really stood out, it was a light coloured blue i seem to remember. The owner kept commenting how there wasn't a stone chip on it (which was rubbish anyway !!) but I think i would have preferred a few stone chips on the front as opposed to all these obvious edges of tape !!

My car came with Armourfend on and it is quite obvious and the top.

I know a lot of people who have use paintshield on their cars and been very happy.

Speak to Tom @ paintshield: 01476 592777 / 07940 521416 - he'll do a great job on it i'm sure.
