Ive just had a bit of a tickle and managed to get my hands on a nearly new set of kahn rsz wheels and almost new tyres for very little money....
they are

ET 35
PCD 108 Ford fitment
17" x 8"
205/40/17

Im guessing the back tyres are a little small though

Will they fit the chim?

you may have problems with the wheel inner edges touching the wishbones at the front 8" seems a bit wide for the front, ideal for the rear though, you maybe able to space the front wheels or limit the travel on the steering rack(lock to lock) to rectify the problem,i seem to remember someone on here mentioning Tvr themselves making something to do just this that fitted on the rack itself internally behind the track rod arm to limit the travel.

I was thinking i would need spacers as i use 3mm ones for my front 16`s. What do you thing the max spacer thicknes is using standard bolts?

Thats a tricky one Ben,it depends on the depth of the wheel bolt holes,me personally i am not a lover of spacers,i think you will be looking at quite a thick spacereekto rectify your problem, why dont you take the spacer from the other side and have a trial fit one side to see just how much clearence you have/or dont, its the wheel rim that hits the lower wishbone not the tyre, but dont quote me on that oneideagood luck.
