For the first time I have to choose new tyres for my 911. In the past I have always sold the car on and bought a new one at the end of the year, but my 997 is so good I want to keep it and now I have to buy some new tyres (19&quotwink, so which brand?

Choices:

Bridgestone £900 for all 4
Pirelli £976 for all 4
Michelin £1050 for all 4

I currently have the michelins, they have lasted about 8000 miles, but would appreciate any views on the others.

Well I'm perfectly happy with the Michelin's on my C4S, so I'd pay the extra and go for them.

Well my 997 2s came with p zeros, ive got a full set of pilot sports in the cellar (since 4 k miles on my car) as replacement for them.
I am now on 9.5 k miles and reckon at least another 2 or 3 k is possible. I drive my car as intended for the most part, and did 2 k miles down to Berlin at high speed (175 mph) for large parts of the trip.
So to conclude I am pretty happy with both performance and life span.
Hope this helps..
