havin a spot of bother wit an evo 5 when you turn right you can hear a loud knocking ive had the two track rods replaced and all the bushings was told its the four wheel drive system fighting its self from a mitsi dealer and its a regular thing with the evos sounds like crap to me just wondering if anyone has any ideas

On my Mondeo, it was the wishbone bolts that had worn down (lost about 2mm in diameter).

Ask over on the MLR, but I do know suspension bushes do wear in these cars, and the AYC diffs are also troublesome.

as steve said ask on the Mitubishi lancer register. great bunch of guys with LOADS of knowlage. they will beable to help you.

Other than a CV joint and usual suspension components it can either be the strut worn and knocking (try spraying the top of the damper with WD40 and see if it makes a difference, needs to be replaced if this cures it) or the bolts holding the front LSD together have snapped or worked loose (diff tries to seperate on sharp cornering and the two halves clunk together, the bolts need to be replaced with stronger items and means removal of the transfer box). Both are problems on the E5/6.
I thought most dealers would know about these problems by now, obviously not.
