Where are thes specs cameras, ive seen a load of them in photos, and i have heard of them being installed in wales, but i have never seen them on the road. I live near the M25/M4 junction near windsor, any body know of any near me? Incedentally i have never seen a camera van, only twice have i ever seen a copper with a laser gun and both times it was at heathrow, where do you guys (and gals) see all this stuff! Not complaining mind!

Which are most prevalent in North Wales - speed cameras or handheld laser units?

What's the justification for the SPECS on the M1 between M10 and M25? Because I guess whatever justification is quoted here could easily be applied to other motorways later....

And are there any camera signs? I don't think so. Presumably this is perfectly legal even if immoral.

SPECS is also in Nottingham town centre on their inner ring road. There are several I hear but one for definate is going from Wollaton to the Queens Medical centre. To catch ambulances delivering medical supplies I suppose (I know it was lincolnshire but I couldn't miss the dig )

And also, where are the SPECS on the M1 between M10 and M25? I have seen this mentioned a few times on PH. We have SPECS here in Northants on the A43 east of Northampton, so I know what they look like. But I've never been able to spot any on this stretch of the M1. Am I just being unobservant or are they very well hidden, or is this an urban myth?

that'll be the A610 then (J26 off M1 to town direction) they have SPECS situated on this road, approx 6 scameras each way, but you'll know when you're close as the traffic sticks to 30, then goes to 45ish, then back to 30....repeat....

Definitely there. They are on two gantries, one camera per lane. I only spotted them with the aid of my Blue i. Are hard to see though.

SPECS are on two sections on the M6, between junction 20 to 21 and 22 to 23, the northern set are on a 50 limit for roadworks and the southern set is is a 40 limit for the contraflow over the Manchester Ship Canal bridge.
