Anyone know what pressure your supposed to blow the space saver up to - and I presume it's ok to shove on the rear ??

assume you're referring to your 996 cab?

C2s and targas
front and rear: 60psi (4.2bar)

C4s
front and rear: 36psi (2.5bar

it can go on the rear but usual rules apply re: how long and fast you use it.
