They are awesome machines.
A well specced one can cost close to 100k and at 7100 it's barely been run in.
However, expect it to drop to 60-70k in the next year or two.
Also, although this is arguably the best Porsche roadcar ever made, you may get more fun from a GT3 if you like track driving.
Personally, I liked the look of the LHD one at joemacari for 59k!!!!!! Now that really is a lot of car for the money.
If it's your cup of tea, go for it. Price seems fine...

Hi 911fan, depends on the spec., if it has PCM & a few other toy's I think it would have a trade value of £78k-ish, if it hasn't got PCM less.So the dealer will have around 7k in it unless he is selling it SOR on behalf of an owner. As I have said B4 get the full spec.
then phone another Porsche OPC buyer for a trade valuation, then you know how much you will loose day 1, as much as I LOVE cars & particularly the TURBO (XXX) money is hard come by & it's always good to minimise depreciation as much as possible. Take your time & check out what's on offer, this is a good time to buy a turbo, I think prices will actually be higher by the end of the year !!
IT IS A FANTASTIC CAR.....BUT 1 (just voted no1 again by another mag....no1 in Car mags. top 100 !!

911fan, Turbo was launched in 99 (I think)& we have just entered the time when a good number of owners are trading in for their new car's so the Turbo market has gone from "the odd one for sale" to "blimey there is a few to choose from" at the same time the stock market & world gloom have suppressed some of the interest at the top end of the car market. But, the stock market is on the UP & this current "glut" of Turbo's are finding new homes, less availability & a more buoyant market later in the year= firmer prices. That's the theory anyway, in reality it just means current owners loose less !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Er!!!! nice theory Grant,is that why both ECB & MPC are expected to cut interest rates tomorrow and the market has an 80% chance of a US rate cut priced in at the end of June...The global economy sucks!!!
Isn't there a 997 coming late next year?
This will keep TT levels no better than flat as it will be 18mths -2 years before the new turbo arrives.
Enjoy the Turbo it is the best car in the real world anyone could possibly own.

Sorry if this is going to make some of you weep as you read it, but I just clocked a brand new, zero kilometres, shiny and virginal 996 turbo up for sale at the equivalent of just under 62,000 of your British pounds.
Seems some local sheikh bought it from the main dealer, quickly changed his mind and got himself a CL55 instead. An independent sold the basalt black turbo for about a third less than UK price the same day it was up for sale.
I will be spending the next 12 months on the look out for fickle car-whore locals...
