Are police required to wear hi vis jackets when using portable speed camera on side of road?.. This one had his jacket drapped over the back of his bike and not visible from front

Not for prosecution, only for own safety.

The bike would have Hi-Viz markings I imagine ??

anyone working on the highway is reqd to wear a hi viz ,sleeveless up to 30mph limit and fully sleeved over 30mpn limit .

If you see one without a hi-viz jacket you are perfectly entitled to run them over
