heater controll unit.
Discussion
does any one know if there's an other car with the same heater control unit box thingy that hides under the dashboard, mine has give up today. took dash of and tested it. there is power going in but nothing coming out. called local dealer and they give me a price of £170, talk about legal robbery!
These often fail; the most common failure is caused by overheated terminations. There's very little inside the unit and they are normally repairable. Dismantle the unit taking care not to break anything as you ease the inner parts out of the casing. If it has failed through overheated cables a simple re-soldering job with better wire should have it running fine again.

looked inside,all seams fine.
is there any where i can send it to, so i can get it tested/repaired?
cheers,
adam.
Presumably you used a multimeter to establish there's no power output? It might be worth checking the switch and potentiometer on the end of the ribbon cable with the meter and that the ribbon cable is secure at each end. And if you're handy with a soldering iron, the switch is susceptible to dry joints.
If it turns out the controller is at fault you might get a second-hand one cheaper from Douglas Valley or from Bell Hill.
