Anyone know where this hose belongs??

In front of the engine there is a steelpipe sitting on chassis clamped with 2 clampes. On top of this pipe there are 2 hoses (rupper pipes)attached. One of these is loose (the shortest) and I cannot see where it belongs. They to the back of the engine.

Can you post a picture? You may mean the fuel cooler. One pipe on each end to the air conditioning system. Two pipes on top are for fuel. For safety, all four need to be secure. I doubt it is the cooler because if a top hose was loose it would be spraying fuel out, like mine did once.

check your drivers side manifold airbox, there should be two pipes going into the bottom of that, see that neither of those have come off?

Under the airbox runs a pipe on both sides. A hose is attached at both sides.

The steel pipe I mean (attached on top of a chassis crossmember with 2 clamps just in front of the engine pullies)has 2 hoses attached on top. They run over the engine and as I looked again today, both of them are loose.

I took a picture, but even with clicking on "formatting help" here I cannot get the pic on the forum.

Thanks Alan, but I know what it is now. I have an aircon-car and this thing is a fuelcooler. Previous owner must have shortcutted the fuelline somewhere and leftout the cooler.

Does somebody know where these hoses go to?
