While I was grouting the hallway floor tiles this afternoon (no, that's not a code, I really was doing DIY) the TV was on in the front room. There was one of those real life BIB programmes on that shows all manner of naughty people doing stupid things, usually when drunk.
We were told by voice-over man that one of the scrotes that got nicked (for being a scrote - it's a fair cop!) was later given a Supervision Order and his mate a Conditional Discharge.

I know what a CD is (not from personal experience, you understand biggrin) but what's a Supervision Order? Is it all holding hands with a Social Worker etc, or some such similar thing?

It`s arranging for a massive TV to be delivered later.

Sorry - that`s the most contrived answer I`ve seen in a long time - but then it is late!!

It's a holiday in the Greek Islands with your social worker where you your alchohol bought for you, and you come home a few weeks later with some new tattoos and a new friend who is more likely to be called "Nick the Greek" than Aristotle.

It amounts to nothing... kid breaks supervision order... eventually it goes back to court where he gets a...... supervision order.
Tough on crime! Tough on the causes of crime... unless it's hard work then we'll just white wash it in a sea of paperwork.
