Hi all,

My air con (as TVR call it) I call it the hot and cold air vents is not working. It went off a month go, came back on for a few days and now it's off again.

I don't think it's anything serious but would love it working.
The month of July has rained EVERY single day in Dublin and if i drive with the windows closed, i could pass out with the heat, if I open them, I get a complete soaking and rain drips everywhere.

Could it be a fuse or something else?

It could be the ecu that controls the thing.I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a couple of melted connections that plug into it.The ecu was located in the passenger footwell stuck to the back of the dash/tray thingy with velcro.You'll have to crawl in there and look up.It may be worth unplugging it and checking the connection blocks.Mine used to come on and off after wiggling it.

Does it stop blowing air or just blow hot? Might be worth getting it re-gassed if it's blowing hot air, if you press the aircon button can you hear the clutch on the compressor engage?

My Mark 2 with convertible dash has a similar problem. I have to depress the switch a good few times. Otherwise I get loads of air pressure coming out the top left vent and nowhere else.

Also, if I leave the hot air on for too long my dash screen flashes !

Should get these things check but just can't do without the car :-)
