MAF failure? Might be covered, really depends on your relationship with your dealer. Around £400 (includes fitting) from an OPC.

Mass Air Flow sensor. It's used by the car to gauge the airflow entering the engine.

Also can be ABS sensor- had this with the wiring going on the front causing the the ABS/PSM lights to come on. And no Porsche did not pay despite having a repair kit in stock!

Listen, don't worry about it! There is a stack of issues/connections that make the PSM/ABS light flash up.

Do not replace MAF, you will know when a MAF pops, it usually blows under heavy acceleration and you will feel it (the light will stay on regardless)

If you are really concerned get a code reader or pop down to your dealer.

Could be the brake lamp switch? replaced one recently as was causing PSM faults, dealers normally carry them in stock

Cool Mac! Just make sure before you commit to any work that may need undertaken, make sure you come on here and clear it with the boys first, they will keep you right without getting ripped off!

I had a similar scenario (the PSM and ABS lights not the noise behind the dash)

Originally it was thought to be a MAF problem, this was changed and the fault was still there.

Two possible options - problems with the ABS sensor (estimated to be ££££s) or as it transpired another switch somewhere in the breaking system (less than £7 for the part.

Good luck !

MAF is def covered by dealer it's in the warranty book too if they question it. I had mine changed.

Same happened on mine, along with the car showing higher boost pressures up to 1.1 bar, it was the MAF!
