Hi,

I was just wondering how many miles to the gallon this savage beast averages?

Thanks in advance.

Olie.

Olie

as nobody has replied as yet, I thought you may as well have a wild-stab-at-it guesstimate...

Lamboandy and Simonspider are collecting their 640 from Sant'Agata soon - Andy's Gallardo gets to stay at home while they will both fly out to collect the car and also the famous SG54 LAM, leaving poor Tracy and Laura behind in the United Raindowm whilst they drive back in the 2 cars...

Now, I could be very wrong but, somehow, knowing those two guys, I'd say they would be very, very lucky if they saw much more than 10 miles to the gallon, (so, about several zillion litres for each 100 kilometres or whatever that figure is) - even though they will obviously be taking it quite easy on the way back... obviously, officer

FULL STORY (ish!) in the Autumn issue of the LCUK magazine...

which brings me to another point - when are you joining our Club matey??

Depends on hwo you drive. Have to say not unlike my RR Sport 4.2SC. 7-10 Around town 12 on a run if lucky. The one thing that does get me down is all the attention......like driving a circus around behind you.

XXVIII,

I WOULD LOVE TO JOIN YOUR CLUB, HONESTLY I WOULD. But there is one problem, I dont have a Lamborghini. Infact I dont even drive!
All I am is another average, level headed 16 year old teenager that has a burning passion for Lamborghini's. I have no clue why AND I DON'T CARE!
A couple of weeks ago I attended Goodwood festival of speed, and in the Supercar section near the entrance was an LP640. I remember getting a huge lump in my throat and herrendous goosebumbs! Pathetic eh? Its only a car. I stared at it for about 40 minutes while my friends were moaning because they wanted to move on. lol. What a day!

Anyway, Back to the point... If I had a Lamboghini, I would of been in that club before it had even started!

Thanks for your reply XXVIII, I appreciate it.

If Ferrari has a prancing horse register does LCUK has something similar? Lots of friends who now own Ferrari's were on this register as a teenage boy and converted to full FOC (Ferrari Owners Club) members when they got a Ferrari!

Ollie if your ever in the Scotland area let me know and I'll take you out in the Murcielago!!

I'll post some pics from today for ya mate, you'll like these!!

I could just say that the easiest way to join is to download an application from from the Club's website at

www.lamborghiniclubuk.com

(but please note, it's a bit out of date at the moment for many a good reason - to be sorted soon!)

or you could pm me via PistonHeads with your home address and I'll send a few copies of our 'JOIN TODAY!' leaflet. Obviously that is a four or more copies, to allow you to make a pig's ear of filling one of them in; throw one of them in the bin because you accidentally dropped a "Bumper-Bucket™" of "TeenFood™" all over it and keep one because you are obviously as much a manic enthusiast as the rest of LCUK's Members and just had to keep it and not fill it in and send it to our Membership secretary, which you'll do with the fourth copy...

You'll note that LCUK actually stands for 'Lamborghini Club UK' - the word 'owner' does not appear and hasn't appeared since our Club was properly formed in 1987. So, we are 20 years young this year... yay!!!

We are the only Lamborghini club in the UK and we are officially recognised by Automobili Lamborghini SpA. Admittedly, that's only because sometimes lots of us keep turning up at the factory gates causing them to say, (in Italian, obviously),

"Oh look! We recognise them! They are people from Lamborghini Club UK!

Shall we let them in this time or send them off to bring us back some Kendal Mint Cake?"

(a long yet vibrantly exciting story which will be serialised in 2009 by a combination of some of the more enterprising of the European cable channels and probably by RAI Uno as well)

Whilst the great majority of the Club's Members are actually Lamborghini owners, a good number are not (AS YET). Some of our Members own 2, 3, 4, 5 or more Lamborghini cars, some almost live in them whilst certain others have the equally certain knowledge that their Jarama is well and happy but just resides some 300 miles away (ahem) due to a number of annoying and trivial matters which are not to be dwelt upon at all if one is to remain at least, in some way, sane.

Whilst you are still 16, you qualify for our Junior Membership but you'll have to scrape a few more shillings together for the following year and for the decades after that.

Looking forward to you email!!

Simon's and my car is finished now, apparently all that we are waiting for now is the paperwork to be sent from Sant Agata and then we can get the plates and go and pick it up. At the moment its probably going to be mid week next week.

As for MPG, having driven YEVIL for approximatly 30ish miles on a test drive it used a third of a tank! Nastywej can verify its a thirsty beast. On our recent trip down to Monaco on some hard driving sessions I was averaging about 11MPG in Gallardo, ben was getting more like 7!!

Roll on next week.

Andy.

Andy,
"YEVIL". Now did I see a Murcielago on top gear the other night with that plate?

Cheers.

YEV 1L has been a registration owned by Lamborghini London/Manchester since the launch of the 6.0 Diablo... it gets glued onto many of the press cars, no idea why, (kidding!).

I think Jason Barker just thought it applied way back then and Dominic Lancaster still agrees nearly 8 years later...
