Clutch not working on 400SE.

Car has been standing for a few years, so I think it the clutch stuck to the flywheel.

Will not allow me to change gear when engine is running,

Also if started in gear on stands, and clutch in as soon a I put breaks on engine stops.

I have bleed clutch, with presure bleeder.

Any Thing I can do.

When this happened to me I started it in first or reverse and hit the brakes when it fired up and lunges forwards/rearwards. Assuming there's nothing in the way of obstacles. Or you could try this with a rear wheel off the floor/on an axle stand.

Warm the car up to temp then start in gear accelerate hard in 1st gear and decelerate just as quickly with the clutch pedal down do this repeatadly till it breaks free, try to find a quiet disused area to do this though, forgot to mention the heat from the hot engines flywheel helps the process, which is why i said get up to temp 1st,good luck.

get the car on a flat level surface if you can, make sure the battery has plenty of get up in it,now sit in it release the handbrake put it in first gear and statr it and drive along infirst gear, while you are going along in first push the clutch down and now throttle it on and off this will release it easyly.

go for a drive with the clutch pedel pressed

assuming the hydrolics are working a few miles should free it up changing gear

PS you need to know what you are doing with revs or the gearbox will spit its dummy out
