byebye Hi mate,

Congrats on the new addition, I've never looked back after getting mine driving

The fuel smell thing seems to very common, mine does it as well as many others without a definate cure. Get it checked for leaks, mine seems to have got better or I've got used to the petrol smell in my hallway biggrin

Cheers

Dave

Welcome to the 2.5 club

I can't smell mine as it's about 100 miles away.

I had exactly that with my 2.5. Was told it was normal, even got the factory to check it out. Then one morning i decided to check the pump/filter and found the filter had got differential metal corrosion under the steel retaining clip! Fuel was leaking out through the filter body!

I showed it to a guy a the factory and he "retained" it for research purposes...

The fuel smell may be due to fuel aspiration through fuel lines. Only full teflon lined hoses will not exhibit this problem smell.

Common problem I'm afraid which I'm still trying to get sorted.. Extractor fan in the garage maybe the most cost effective solution !!!

Lots of top quality cars there as usual but seemed a little flat and lacking something I thought.
