I am considdering either a Ultima gtr or a Noble m400. Any advice on which one works better on the track?

Ultima will be easier to spec up to your performance criteria. I.e. you build it.SM
A racer told me once that the suspension was mounted in the wrong place??? And if you wanted to compete seriously it had to be moved somehow!
I had a look at a Ultima but went for the M400 because of its every day driveability (on Road) compared to the Ultima .. Opening windows, conventional doors etc.
I suspect for a track car the Ultima will be your best bet.

For the road...
I've driven my Noble from Marbella to Bordeaux only stopping for fuel, so did 750 miles in 12 hours. I got out felling fresh as a daisy. I drove my mate Simon's Ultima for an hour, and I needed 2 paracetamol and a lie down.
For the track...
I think that an M400 would be ever so slightly faster in the corners (certainly a lot more forgiving and easy to drive near and at the limit), but the Ultima would be noticeably quicker on the straights.
My conclusion...
If you are racing, or if you have Stig-like ability behind the wheel, or if all you care about is 0-60 times, then the Ultima is probably the one for you. If you are going to drive it on the road at all, then you need to drive them both before you make up your mind.
