While i'm trying to get my 350i ready for the inspection from the RDW (dutch authority for road- traffic)in order to get a dutch license plate, my brother is trying to get his car to run properly. He is having problems with the engine (it's a 1990 350i), which alternately runs bad and good. After having used injector cleaner and new spark plugs, we are wondering if it's possible to reset the ecu?? If so could anyone please tell me how??

Yes - disconnect the ecu (big plug with all the wires)
for about 1 min.

If that does not cure it - swap it with someone with the same model !

Thanks! I've got a 350 as well so i might try mine on my brothers car if resetting it doesn't give a good result.
