Could ITV afford Murray?

having listened to the magic of Murray again, it would be interesting to know how many actually swtich the volume off on Sunday to listen to Murray...
Could ITV pay him enough to come out of retirement?
I would suggest the deal would be for Murray to do all the European races track side with Martin, and then have guest commentators do the long-haul races as it takes too much out of Murray at his age.
That way, we get to enjoy Murray and at the same time we can have a range of commentators who canshowcase their unique style and hopefull when Murray retires a second time we might be able to choose a suitable replacement.
Why do this?

I could live with the Lewis shite that they shovel out at each race, and dare I say it, I could live with adverts, but THE COCK MUST GO.
Although I do not like talent shows, ITV have had X-Factor, why not F1-Factor were we the race fans can choose a bloody better commentator than THE COCK

With the greatest of respect to Murray and from someone who enjoyed every moment of his commentating at the weekend, he was clearly showing his age (certainly on a couple of occasions he could be heard coughing in the background) and it wouldn't be fair to expect him to do a full season.
I don't mean this as a criticism (and it would be grossly unfair to do so), just that to be realistic, a full comeback isn't to be expected. I would like to see Allen replaced though

On another forum I read, one poster, an ITV insider(?), reckons that Murray would cost ITV £300,000 for the remaining 7 races.
I'll wait until I've watched/listened to my recording of the ITV + JA coverage to make a say if £300,000 is good value.
But, after listening to Murray and watching ITV yesterday I think I know the answer

We had Alex Joong (Malaysian Ex Minardi driver if i recall correct) doing the ESPN commentary out here in Asia, and i have to say he was actually very good ... perhaps they should just dig out a few more racers (preferably ones that can string a few constructive words together) for commentary.
edit to qualify that i mean more recient racers, that have had some actual competition experiance with the modern regulated F1 cars.

They can be good commentors though - and that is where people like Brundle and Hunt have been very good.
Hunt especially, memories of him heckling old Murray when he got a car / driver wrong 
... Have to say that Alex Joong was not too bad, could do with a bit of practice, but there is some good potential there ...

That's why I suggested he just do the Euro races and we have a selection of possible candidates do the long-haul races for a year.
