No.11 fuse blew a few weeks back and stopped the Cig lighter, interior light, boot release and the stereo from working. I replaced the fuse and everything has been fine until yesterday my stereo wouldn't power on. It's a Pioneer Cd player. I've checked the fuse and it all seems to be ok. My stereo has been playing up recently and does turn it self off quite often. Any ideas of what I can check or will I need to purchase a new one?

Thank you
Karl

Not entirely sure on pioneer but think they head unit might have its own fuse in on the wiring lume. Check this isnt loose or broke. If not it sounds like a new Stereo!

Interesting, await results!
No problems so far like that.

However AVIC BT unit rear view camera linked to reverse sensor - not working - and is being sorted at present. Gear shift has a lug/lobe attached and the contactor does play up - have had it fixed before.

The fuse covers for the brake and reverse lights. So you lose both!! In this instance a slightly different explanation, but I'll post when confirmed.

Some head units have a blade fuse in the back of the unit itself?

Failing that there will be one in the wiring harness at the back of it.

There will be a fuse in addition to the car fuses.
