Hello,

I am looking for a dash to replace my cracking one, any ideas other than leven.
I don't mind metal but do mind £150+.

Cheers

Just going thru same problem so i decided to remove the dash myself and removed all the cracked laminate. Sanded plate down and am just deciding how to finish it( either re-laminate it or paint or polish??). So far its cost me nothing. I,m tempted to spray it same colour as car (Starmist Blue..the fastest colour etc...). I dont know if you're handy with the spanners but at least this is a much much cheaper option if money is tight! This will make the car look tidier inside and if you don't like it you can get it done properly when money is a little more forthcoming!!

Doubt this helps but it's an idea

Actually I really like the idea of a body coloured dash panel - think Fiat Coupe:

cheers for the info ,

I might well make use of my sander then, like the coupe idea but i do not think it will look right......cream dash with starmist green (think you will find this the fastest...). Anybody have any photos of the coupe idea? I would be very interested to see.

PS if anyone would like a 20VT coupe I have one for sale ~£3000(thought I would mention this whilst on the subject of fancy cars)biggrin

prob get shot down in flames here but I'm thinking of going the remove the old wood and use the metal route myself. currently toying with the idea of trying the carbon vinyl stickyback stuff to give a carbon look. also once saw a kitcar with an alloy dash with, believe it or not, opaque fablon (for sticking on to bathroom windows) stuck on it, which made it look engine turned. it looked pretty darned good and the owner swore blind it was the fablon for about a fiver a roll from B&Q....
