Just fitted some Gaz shocks
Discussion
Just fitted some new Gaz adjustables to the old XJS, What a difference to the originals... they are great...I'm 'chuffed' to bits with the outcome. I have set them just a little firmer than normal as I prefer the stiffer ride. Handling is transformed and the car just feels so much better without loosing that sublime Jaguar comfort.
At first I was a little apprehensive towards the Gaz as I have Protec fitted to the TVR and they are awesome, the Gaz are a much heavier unit and seem a lot more robust.
I contacted a few of the 'Usual Suspects' for advice on which was the 'preffered' route for upgrades and found availability issues and pricing was quite varied. Eventually a referral for Classic Spares Limited based in Waltham Cross, Herts came up trumps. They were extremely helpful, and swift to despatch as well as competitively priced.
I recommend this to anyone with an 'S' or even any XJ as the shocks can easily be adjusted to suit all set-up preferences and at just over £90 a pair (fronts) they're a bargain.
Now anyone got any 16" lattice alloys up for grbs?
