Discussion
I`ve always wanted a 911, and £50,000 is a lot of money for me spend on a car, so before I commit myself, what do you guys think about this ............
I`ve found an 03/03 manual with 11,000 miles, FPSH 1 years Porsche warranty, taxed `til feb 08 and Alloy pack, AM/FM Stereo, CD Multichanger, Navigation System, Premium Sound System Air Conditioning, Climate Control, Electric heated seats, Leather Seats, Xenon headlights. PSM, tracker etc. etc.
For £54,000
What do ya all reckon ?

price is knocking on opc money for that although the spec is good
and dont let anyone on here put you off silver
he one thing i was surprised about when looking for my turbo was the condition of the cars being sold.
i saw two cars, on a 52 plate, one an 03 both for sale at non specialists. neither had been prepped properly and both were very tatty. regardless, because the car had a turbo badge on the back they were asking retail money for the cars. Absolutely stupid
you car sounds good so its worth a look. however, there are one or two things you need to be aware of
tyres are expensive and the car eats them. do the tyres all have a good life left in them? if not then there is a bill for 1500 quid
has the major 4 year service been done? if not then say good bye to another £1200
will the brakes need replacing in the next 5000 miles? yep another £1200
are all the navigation disks with the car? and if so do they all work and are not scratched? if not, then replacements are 400 quid
so you can see, a 54k car will all the above done and in tip top condition is ok
a 54k car that needs the stone chips done, new nav disks, and a service and then it starts to look 5k over priced
and thats even before you have factored in the price for the opc inspection (£250) and the opc warranty £895
and dont let anyone on here put you off silver

where do you buy your tyres from! I paid £630 fitted for conti sport 2's from a local garage and could have got them slightly cheaper from www.mytyres.co.uk

First with regards to value, my tip is phone a couple of OPC buyers & ask what the trade value of the car is today! Clearly you will pay more in a private sale, but at least you know what the owner would get from the trade.I`ve found an 03/03 manual with 11,000 miles, FPSH 1 years Porsche warranty, taxed `til feb 08 and Alloy pack, AM/FM Stereo, CD Multichanger, Navigation System, Premium Sound System Air Conditioning, Climate Control, Electric heated seats, Leather Seats, Xenon headlights. All you have listed is standard spec on a Turbo with the exception of the Nav, alloy pack, heated seats, multi Cd, aero-kit & tracker!
They are great cars, but there is plenty of choice, so take your time & find best condition & value, remember Porsche OPC's will negotiate on used cars! Having said this if the car you are looking at is genuine & in good conditions it looks fair value.
I look at 20 cars in over 6 months before I decided on mine, and I got messed around by a trader over mine for another 2 months or so.
1 THING - SILVER???? - BLOODY LOADS OF THEM.
Theres a lovely cobalt blue one on auto trader at the minute, with pcm/sat nav and aerokit..looks very nice.
Also try and look for one with the factory x50 upgrade, which is nice to have.
The ones that are about now, have been around for a while...I take it your after a manual and not a gaytronic??
Take your time, theres no rush, cause when you do ge them..you spend even more on exhaust and re-maps

Crikey were your tyres laced with gold ? I paid just over £600 for 4 PZero's recently (though the monkeys did scratch an alloy, so add £50 to get the alloy done "wasn't us mate"
