i drive a e36 m3 at the moment
so id like to know how different is the cerb to drive in
performance
handling
driving it in general ?

and how low is the cerb ?do you have to be careful where you drive eg speedhumps ?

and what are the things to look for when viewing a cerb (only got around 13k)

from experience, I would say find a good local independant tvr specialist, and before buying any car, have it checked thoroughly by a good independant.

If I was to buy again, I'd probably want to buy a known car from an enthusiast forum member who I know is fanatical about maintaining the car, even if such a car was priced much higher, it would be worth every penny.

have enough cash for running costs (if you cant afford £3k pa for servicing and repairs PLUS tyres and ins and fuel then dont do it)
enough patience, humour and resiliance for problems
a spare car
an intimate relationship with your spcialist
trawl the old threads
find a car owned by someone who has spent the cash (eg my old ones!)
dont buy on price or spec or mileage
BUY ONE !
At your budget I would go for a 4.2 V8. Avoid the S6.

i was hoping the general upkeep costs were about the same as my m3
i was leaning towards the 4.2 as i have a 6 pot now and fancy the v8 rumble
am i likely to see a huge difference in performance compared to my m3 ?

M3 will be half the cost to run of a cerb but a tenth of the fun.
The Cerb will be MUCH faster.

Speedhumps? I've just had nitrons fitted and the car sey really low. I've just had t adjust my rear exhaust box slightly upwards but still easily clear speedhumps. It's getting out of my close thats the problem....
