Anybody know how to replace the boot solenoid? Mine seems to be hard wired in!

Where's the solenoid from? It seems to have packed in, or is there a way to get them going again?

Stuart,
It would be highly unlikely that you could get the solenoid to work again if it's knackered.
However they are readily available from Maplins Electronics stores and are dirt cheap. I think they are also available from parts suppliers like clever trevor as well.
Cheers

Follow the wiring back Stu, mine was about 3/4 down the number plate to the connector. Just flip the carpet up where the boot lights are (mmm... early cars :dig::digsmile ~ pretty sure yours is an early example IIRC.

Yep it's a '93, I'll have a look - taking the number plate everytime I need petrol is getting a bit tiresome now! cheers Dave.

My 99 Chim boot Solenoid packed up recently. I couldnt work out how to replace it easily. Took it to Fernhurst TVR - and they fitted a new one for just under 100 notes. The wiring route is a bitch to work with, as tyou have to work blind most of the time. (Money well spent in my opinion)
