993TT remapping
Discussion
First post, so hi all!
I've just bought a 993TT and would like to do the filter/exhaust/ECU upgrade. I've bought some muffler bypasses for sound more than power (although this might yet prove to be a mistake) and was going to go for a BMC or K&N panel. I've been told that there isn't much to gain from high flow cats so wasn't going to bother
My question is who do I use for the ECU bearing in mind that it is a 1996 model? And has anyone had any experience of Imagine Autos kits as they look amazing value? Those that I had in mind are RS Tuning, 9ff and FVD.
Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Lot's of discussion about this on Rennlist; I think general consensus is that you won't get much more than 430-440 hp out of the stock K16 turbos. Performance air filters/intakes are of dubious value and more cash flow devices for the seller than anything else
I'll have a factory 430 ECU to sell within a couple of months.

Concur with phelix though you can get 450/60 bhp on the k16's with an RS chip, quite a few swear by the 100 cell cats though I havent bothered, better places to spend your bucks.
Muffler bypasses are a must for the sound value though neighbours and track days are a problem. After fitting get a friend to blast past you for the goosebump value.
Rennlist is the place to get the best advice on upgrades(though you will get quite a few of them on here) and you should pay special attention the ones that 'Kevins' does for VFM ie stage 1, 2 perhaps even 3.

Dont get the wrong idea abt Wayne , hes litterally a bespoke mapper with vast experience of Pork.............hes done a 993 GT2 for me up to serious level , i have watched him improve mid range on a norrmally aspirated 993 to the owner wanted to kiss himand work miracles on 993 tt s ..............this is no bolton chip jockey !!!!
U tell him what u wish to acheive he justt dsits there quietly and does it .........

I've been thinking about getting Wayne to have a go at my C2. Anyone used him for n/a 993 applications? Verdict?
I've used Wayne on 3 different 993 carrera's Pete - great results every time!I should say - I wouldn't use Wayne (or any fixed mapper) for the TT though, different ball game.
